Sristhuthi Chakravarthy

I'm finishing a computer science degree at George Mason University this December, with a minor in bioinformatics. I'm in Fairfax, Virginia, and I'm open to moving to San Francisco.

I learned software from the outside in. I started in QA at NextgenID, which makes identity-verification kiosks for clients like Google and DHS. I tested every release, then started installing the kiosks myself, flying solo to Google India, Ann Arbor, and Indianapolis. Later I moved onto the small team that supports Google's account and was the first person to see every ticket. Along the way I wrote code for the team: C# automation, Selenium tests, SQL, and scripts.

I think software is finished when it's been tested, installed, supported, and explained, not when it compiles. I've done each of those jobs and I like being the person who does them.

Work

NextgenID, Client Solutions Engineer, summer 2026. First responder for Google's support queue across thirty-plus kiosks in five countries. Triaged issues, tracked them through to a fix with engineering, and kept Google informed. Wrote the team's first process documentation after turnover left none. Helped build the C# automation that cut station setup time by more than 80%.

NextgenID, QA Engineer, March 2025 to June 2026. Tested every release across software, gateway, firmware, and hardware. Owned hardware validation for a fourteen-kiosk deployment to DHS. When a four-kiosk order became seventeen two days in, delivered all seventeen on the original deadline.

Airstitch, Software Engineer Intern, early 2026. Two-founder AI startup, since acquired. Built and tested the OAuth flows people used to connect their first integration, debugged auth and API edge cases end to end, and wrote the UI copy they read while doing it. Talked with users on Slack every day and shipped fixes the same day.

Projects

Rithi, in progress. A commissioned storefront for a crochet business in India that sells through Instagram DMs. I'm the only engineer, building it from the database to checkout so custom orders become a catalog customers can order from directly. Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL.

Signsync, third place at HackOverflow. A model that reads American Sign Language gestures from video, with Arduino sensor input feeding the same pipeline. Python, OpenCV, Keras.

Tech for Good

I was president of George Mason's Tech for Good club for two semesters. I started two programs with outside partners that are still running: weekly workshops where students refurbished surplus government laptops for Virginia students who needed them, and tech tutoring for seniors. On a normal week, fifteen to twenty students fixed up twenty-five to thirty machines.
